After listening to the book “One Good Deed” by Terri Fields, the class decided that they could do a good deed for someone else.
We decided that we could make Christmas cards for seniors living in our community who may not have family that could visit them. Our cards will be going to the seniors at Heritage Lodge on Portage.
One of our goals was to make those who got the cards, smile, so we put jokes in the cards. Since the theme this year is dinosaurs, we put in dinosaur jokes.
The art was created by the students. First they did watercolor sponge painting on paper. Then we used die cuts to cut out the dinosaurs. Finally, we put it all together and decorated them with stickers.
