Art Lesson Instructions

Before you draw

Pick three different animals to draw over the two weeks that you are working from home.  Remember there is paper in the yellow folder.  Please do not fold your paper or add scenery to your drawing, as we will be putting them up and sharing them with the class.  We will be using these drawings as part of our Earth Day project.

You will need:  paper and a pencil     – NO ERASERS –

Remember, it is when you start erasing that your paper and drawing become messy.

 

Instructions:  Pause the video after each shape, to give yourself time to draw.

Watch the hands on the videos.  What are they doing?  One hand is holding the paper, while the other draws.  Please, do the same.

Look at the space on your paper.  You want to fill out the space.  You don’t want a tiny little animal somewhere on the page.  Your drawing needs to be nice and big on the page.  You want to be able to see the animal from across the room.

After you have made your drawing

When you are done with your drawing, please color it.  Don’t forget the three stars of coloring.

* Color within the lines.

** No white spaces inside the drawing.

*** Color the right colors.  Ex. Tree leaves are green, and the trunk is brown.

When you are done coloring, outline your picture with a black felt marker.  This will make the picture stand out against the white paper.

Now that you are done with your picture, please put it back in the yellow folder to keep it from getting bent.  Thank you!
