We have been watching our walking sticks since October. We have had 2 eggs on a white kleenex and last week, one of the eggs disappeared. It has hatched and we have found it on the lettuce. Now we are going to watch it grow.

One of the gifts we got after Christmas was a great hammerhead shark. We are tracking it and are learning all about hammerheads. Our sharks name is Babu and he lives around Florida.

This is the size of Babu when he was first caught and tagged.

The second gift we got is a sea turtle named Coral. She also lives in the ocean around Florida.
We are also tracking where she goes and will be learning more about her soon.

Coral is an unusual sea turtle. Researchers believe that she is an adult female loggerhead/hawksbill hybrid sea turtle. She was released with a satellite transmitter on July 27, 2021 from the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge, Florida. She measured 97.5 cm curved carapace (shell) length and 91.0 cm curved carapace width. Coral is taking part in the 2021 Tour de Turtles and was named by her sponsor, tarte.
The third gift we got is a bulb in a pot. We are going to wait until it grows up or flowers to see what it is.
