Learning to represent numbers in various ways: building it with blocks, what it looks like on a dice, and with tally marks are a few of the ways.

Using the fish in our school tank, we looked at how numbers can be broken down.
For example: Our clown fish can grow up to 6 inches when they are full grown. We can represent the number 6 using 6 on a dice, making 6 tally marks, counting on a number line, lining up 6 blocks and writing the number.
6 can be represented as a math equation. How many different ways can you make 6?
2 + 4 = 6 3 + 3 = 6 1 + 5 = 6

Parents are invited to check out our work at the fish tank on the 2nd floor.

Using the gourds to practice the 5 senses. We used shapes, which we are learning the names of in French, to represent the 5 senses.
On the gourd that was brought home,
1. practice naming the shapes in French
2. practice the 5 senses in French.
